Gurung Men Dress

The traditional attire of Gurung men is practical and imbued with cultural significance, reflecting the community's unique heritage.

Gurung Men wear kachhad or wrap-on-loincloth, a bhangra, a bhoto or a shirt of vest, and the usual Nepali topi.

Kachhad: The Kachhad is a wrap-around loincloth made from sturdy cotton, offering comfort and freedom of movement. It is typically black or dark-colored and is worn around the waist, extending to the knees.

Bhangra: The Bhangra is a white cloth that is tied across the chest and left open like a bag at the back. It is made from lightweight cotton, providing comfort and practicality.

Bhoto (Shirt or Vest):The Bhoto is a sleeveless shirt or vest, traditionally made from durable cotton or wool. It is usually plain or adorned with minimal embroidery.

Nepali Topi:The traditional Nepali topi, often made from Dhaka fabric, is an essential part of the Gurung men's attire. It features intricate patterns and is worn with pride during cultural events and daily life.
